Dreaming Sound

Mondays are always the worst day of the week, little skulls. But here is a sound to make softer and happier and help you waiting to the next weekend.

Farewell Lady Aghion

It is with sadness that I learn the death of Gaby Aghion, founder of Chloé. Born in Egypt in 1921, she was a pioneer of prêt-à-porter, which she contributed to the advent.

She came to Paris when she was only 18 to establish a brand that is now considered as the reference of casual and effortless chic. She was always preoccupied by the confort and the movement of the woman body.

Gaby Aghion was also the kind of woman that tried to help a new generation of designers to develop itself. She surrounded herself with many creative talents among them, Karl Lagerfeld, who will succeed her after she retired.

She had taste. She had a vision. She was a pioneer. She was a wonderful woman, may she never be forgotten.

Mister L'Enfant Terrible

Passionate. Eccentric. Iconic. Jean Paul Gaultier is the phenomenon correspondant to those terms. 38 years after founding his brand, "L'Enfant Terrible" has presented his ultimate prêt-à-porter collection during Paris Fashion Week. The designer announced that he will by now focus on the couture collection and his perfume lines. He explained his choice by the fact that he was tired of the oppressing rythm of the pret-à-porter collections.

Its a bittersweet feeling for all parisian fan of Jean Paul Gaultier, so used and fascinated by he fantastic shows. Provocative, fun, but overall faithful to its beliefs and creative ideas, he will always stay one of the favorite designers in France.

Fendi Pastel Liner

During Fashion Week, I always pay attention to beauty looks designed by make-up artists. I find it really inspiring and it helps me to try new things. After the Dolce & Gabbana one, I fell in love for the Fendi beauty look (below on Jessica Stam), consisting in nude lips and a pastel touch of color on the eyes. It is effortless, but definitely a killer look!

V for Vaccarello

I am sure you remember those sexy dresses and skirts that every top models and celebrities worn on red carpet last year, showing a lot of legs and clivage. All were designed by Anthony Vaccarello. And you know what? He is back. Let's get sexy in black, red and white this season.

Ready little skulls? Here are the looks:

Exquisite Lanvin

Edgy, timeless, flawless and dramatic: this is how I would define the Lanvin's collection presented during Paris Fashion Week, celebrating the 125 years of the brand's existence. The sense of detail in the looks designed by Albert Elbaz is incredible, proving that he is a true master. At this point it is no longer fashion, but art!

Here are my favorite looks:

The Queen Isabel

I don't need to introduce you the talented Isabel Marant, because everyone knows her. She is the queen of the French style all around the world. Every collection shows a different source of inspiration, without losing her roots. Isabel Marant's SS15 collection follows this rule and here is the proof:

Whoah Alexis!

This is a blast! I discovered this picture of Alexis Mabille Show, and this is hot. This black and navy blue dress is mysterious and exquisite.

What do you think about this look, little skulls?

A Very Talented Boy

Since its nomination as creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing gave back its wings to the Parisian-established brand. The 28-years-old golden boy is today one the most talented designer. He is a true visionary, transforming women into warriors, giving them strength, power and sexiness. The best example is the  collection presented yesterday at Paris Fashion Week.

There Is Always Hope

Time to make a stand or to speak out loud?

Because today my mood is about hope, I am sharing this song with you little skulls. Hope you will enjoy it.

Kimchi Blue

I would like to introduce you to the brand, Kimchi Blue. Taking inspiration from flea market and vintage fairs, the brand produces delicate clothes with a rock twist. Here are my favorite looks :

#HeForShe

This week an important speech was pronounced. A voice of a generation of women that is tired to be considered as inferior. Inferior to men. And, trust me, this is bullshit because women are able to work as men do, with the same ability and competence. We are no objects or housewives, we are human-beings as men are. This must not be forgotten!

I am not a feminist, but I am working my ass off to depend on nobody and I am proud of it. Now is the time for my generation, for all women to be consider as equals!

Thank Emma Watson for this speech:

App Testing

Since last week I have been testing a new app called Freeway. Its concept is easy and attractive. You play to games and with the points gathered you can win presents, such as Louboutin's high heels or luxury watches.  The best part consists in the fact you select what king of stuff you according to your profile.

The only drawback is that you must have a US phone number to be able to win. Too bad too sad!

Try it little skulls, you might be the next winner!

Animal Like Cavalli

Many Italian designers are known for their prints, but there is only one expert of animal prints: Roberto Cavalli. Here is the proof on the beautiful Suvi Koponen and her colleague:

Aeroskull, The Technology Jewel

Here is my new baby! I was looking for a really long time for beautiful speakers. Each time, it was too expensive or not powerful enough. I discovered this little jewel designed by Jean-Michel Jarre. And it is perfect: powerful, design, user friendly. It is available in two sizes.
Moreover, its is not only a speaker, it is also a true decoration, as you can see it on the picture below.

Pucci 70s

Milan Fashion Week just ended, but I would like to come back to Pucci show, which was incredible.  The Spring-Summer 2015 collection is the meeting between 70s style and the brand prints. Liked it so much that I selected for you, little skulls, few awesome looks.

Freedom & Love Mix

Today my mood is about music, after Emma Louise's song, I would like to share with you this mix by Odesza named I Want You, which truly inspires me freedom and love. Hope you will like it as much as I do, little skulls!

The Voice And The Talent

Her name is Emma Louise. You might don't know it, but I sure you know her voice. Her song "Jungle" is the soundtrack of the Black Opium ad.  As soon as, I heard it I was bewitched and couldn't get it out of my head. And I pretty sure that it is going to be the same for you, little skulls!

Haute Couture Spots

Fashion Week continues and Paris is now the epicenter. Runaways, models, journalists are all over the city. Where to hang when you are off duty? Here are my favorite couture spots to have a drinks and sometimes eat:

Caffe Armani

My absolute favorite to chill, have and brunch on sundays with friends. Located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the Emporio Armani store, this restaurant proposes typical italian gastronomy. Cocktails are also awesome, perfect to have a drink before partying.

Bar 8

One of the best place in Paris to have a drink, especially cocktails. The Bar 8 is the Mandarin Oriental's bar. Whenever I am in the area of Saint-Honoré street, by day or by night, I make a stop there to enjoy some exquisite snacks and drinks.

La Passerelle

Bali in Paris? Yes! La Passerelle may have opened recently, it is already a Parisian reference. Located on a boat in Boulogne-Billancourt (South West of Paris), it has a bar and a restaurant. The bar proposes a nice range of cocktails, composed of classics revisited by the barmen.

Le Bar

Located in the Park-Hyatt Vendôme, Le Bar is the place to go to have a drink made-to-measure, in a divine Art Deco decor. You just have to tell the barman your tastes.

Café de Flore

The most mythic brasserie in Paris! Located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, it is the most Parisian terrace to enjoy a coffee or some hot drinks and meet with friends in the daytime, as typical French people.

Monsieur Bleu

Situated in the Palais de Tokyo, Monsieur Bleu opened two years ago. It proposes delicious asiatic-inspired meals. It has a lovely terrace that allow you to have lunch and dinner by the Seine. In the inside, you will discover an Art Deco-styled place.
